HOW DO I ACCESS mEDICARE-SUBSIDISED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Your medical practitioner will refer you if they deem that Occupational Therapy will be beneficial for your condition.  Each patient is eligible for up to five individual sessions per calendar year of any type - this includes other allied health services not just OT.  If your doctor believes you will benefit from Occupational Therapy they will prepare a Chronic Condition Management Plan and give you a referral to our service.

What will it cost me

Your out-of-pocket cost will be our fee minus the Medicare rebate.  You will need to pay the full fee on the day, and then claim your Medicare rebate afterwards via myGov or in person at Services Australia.

what is the current medicare rebate

Medicare reviews the rebate periodically.  You can find the exact rebate by searching MBS Online https://www.mbsonline.gov.au/for the item number in your referral.  Most Medicare OT services we provide under item number 10958.  The current Medicare rebate for this item number in July 2026 is $63.40.
